#ThrowbackThursday - Luther Vandross: Never Too Much

DON'T BE THAT GUY

Mmm. This isn't just a song you listen to, this is a song you feel. It's one of those songs that they play in the club for nostalgia, and one that people actually dance face-to-face to. FACE TO FACE. Don't be that awkward guy who tries to whine on a girl during this song.

Hitting the world slap bang in the face in 1981, Luther Vandross's debut (solo) single on his debut album shot to number one on most R&B/Soul charts, as well as reaching number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100. Personally for me this song is just decadent bliss. DAT bass guitar. DAT piano stab. DAT normal guitar riff. It's all too perfect. And towards the end when Luther's all like "neee-eeeh neee-eeeh neee-eeeeh-ver" My God. Just play it okay, and marvel at the awesomeness of this week's #ThrowbackThursday selection, Never Too Much, by Luther Vandross.
